Gookol’s – Lassi

Gookol’s Lassi is a refreshing, culturally rooted dairy beverage brand that recently launched a vibrant new product line with five delicious flavors: Mango, Sweet Lassi, Rose, Chocolate, and Butterscotch. This short-term design sprint included complete product label design, custom hangers, and promotional posters, created to establish a consistent and mouth-watering visual identity across all marketing touchpoints.

Context

Gookol’s mission is to bring a modern twist to traditional tastes. This product design project focused on blending regional authenticity with a youthful, eye-catching presentation. From packaging to print media, we ensured that each flavor of lassi told its own story while maintaining the larger brand feel.

Effective product design plays a crucial role in influencing consumer choice at the point of sale. By giving each variant a unique look within a consistent brand identity, we aimed to trigger instant recognition and preference—especially in retail environments.

Overview

The project demanded rapid conceptualization and execution, focusing on five distinctive flavor identities, unified under one cohesive brand style. Each bottle label was crafted using color psychology and cultural elements to represent the flavor authentically—yellow-orange for mango, soft pink for rose, chocolate brown, and so on. The posters and hangers were created for both modern retail setups and traditional Indian grocery stores, maintaining high visual appeal and clarity.

Challenge

Time was the biggest constraint. Designing five complete flavor variants, along with posters and hangers within one week, required a high level of coordination, speed, and precision. Another challenge was maintaining a consistent brand voice across all flavors while giving each a unique visual treatment. 

Aligning label dimensions and ensuring print-readiness with dieline accuracy was also crucial, especially for hangers and posters that needed to be ready for offset printing.

Solution

Each design element was created to evoke freshness and authenticity.

Results

The final output created a strong shelf presence and successfully differentiated the product in a crowded dairy market. The designs were delivered on time, print-ready, and met retailer expectations for promotional materials.

This project demonstrated that great design under pressure is possible with clarity of vision and creative strategy. Gookol’s Lassi is now equipped with a bold, appealing identity that can drive impulse purchases and brand recall.
